What is the purpose of this service?

In Connect we aim to:

  • increase social inclusion in the community and assist members in making informed choices.
  • enable people to work towards greater independence and live as fulfilled lives as possible.
  • maintain good Mental Health and a sense of Wellbeing in all our members.
  • prevent re-entry into the Homelessness cycle.

What support does this service provide? We liaise with community mental health teams, social services (the community support team), local area coordinators, tenancy support teams and other floating support services.

Due to the restrictions in place regarding Covid 19: we are currently operating a telephone support service and emergency one to one pop up support sessions for our members. As and when government guidance changes we will be resuming with our programme of skills workshops and activities, which are led by the interests of our members.
