Who do we support?
Willow provides a unique service of 24 hour supported accommodation for individuals living with or recovering from mental health difficulties who are care managed. Located in Swansea.
What is the purpose of this service?
The project offers safe and secure accommodation with support tailored to the needs of the individual. Each tenant has a self-contained one bedroom flat with their own individual kitchen and bathroom, and access to a shared communal garden. Tenants are able to live at the project until they have developed the confidence and skills to move on.
What support does this service provide?
We support tenants to promote and enhance the skills for independent living in the community. Support is person centred allowing tenants to make choices about their lives, aspirations and goals.
We provide support with a wide range of needs that include:
- Maintaining a tenancy
- Benefit Entitlement
- Daily living skills
- Managing emotional, mental and physical health
- Managing medication
- Maintaining Physical and Mental Health
- Employment / Volunteering / Educational opportunities
- Social opportunities
- Support networks/ relationships
The project acts as a stepping stone to more independent accommodation. We work closely with the Community Mental Health Teams and other external agencies to ensure that when the time is right for the individual, they move on to permanent accommodation with suitable support.
All tenants have access to the Solution Focus Service and can meet 1:1 - virtually or in person - with a Solution Focus Practitioner.
Willow is registered with the Care Inspectorate Wales.
