Apply for Chair of the Board of Trustees

At Goleudy Housing and Support, we are seeking an exceptional individual to join us as Chair of the Board, providing strategic leadership to the charity and ensuring effective governance.

Goleudy is a well-respected housing and homelessness charity dedicated to supporting marginalised communities. We deliver a range of services across South Wales.

We are delivering an exciting new business plan and seeking a Chair to lead the board through the next chapter in our story.

Join us in making a real difference for people in South Wales experiencing homelessness, poverty, trauma, and social exclusion.

As Chair, you will inclusively lead the board, fostering collaboration and supporting the team while providing both support and challenge to the Chief Executive Officer. You will also serve as an ambassador for the charity, representing our values and advocating for our clients and their challenges.

Trustee Board Members (and Company Directors) are appointed for a three-year term, renewable for a further three-year period. Trustees can serve a maximum of six years.

The Chair is appointed for a two-year term, which is renewable, whilst the Chair remains a trustee.

This is a voluntary position, but eligible expenses will be reimbursed.

The time commitment includes attending eight board meetings annually (many held remotely), attending sub-committee meetings and regular catchups with the CEO.

Additionally, there is an annual half-day strategy session.

By leading our board, you will support our work and strategic direction. You will help us prevent and alleviate homelessness, tackle poverty, and help vulnerable adults live the lives they want.

The Chair of the Board plays a critical role in our charity. Your leadership and commitment will ensure we continue to provide and extend our range of much-needed support and services to homeless and excluded adults.
