Who do we support?
We are a drop in advice and guidance hub located in Swansea, supporting people who are homeless, insecurely housed or at risk of becoming homeless. No referral is required and support can be accessed in person or via phone or e-mail.
Our opening times are Monday to Friday 9am - 1pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm
What is the purpose of this service?
Our purpose is to help people in a housing emergency such as; rough sleeping, leaving prison, unable to remain in their current accommodation or having difficulty maintaining their tenancy and need help. The service carries out this work in partnership with Housing Options and the Wallich Rough Sleepers Team. There are also a number of other agencies who provide support from the project and work closely with the Access Point team to best help clients.
What support does this service provide?
We provide:
- Shower and laundry facilities
- Support with benefits
- Support with housing issues
- Access to donations and telephones
- Onward referral to specialist services
- Needle Exchange
- BBV testing
- Care of address
- Access to an Outreach nurse, Mental Health nurse and Sexual Health nurse
- Access to dedicated Solution Focused Practitioner at our weekly drop in sessions on Wednesdays between 2pm and 4pm
