Housing First for Youth
Who do we support?
We support young people 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and are experiencing difficulty accessing or maintaining accommodation in Bridgend.
What is the purpose of this service?
Our purpose is to provide long term flexible support with all aspects of accessing and maintaining a tenancy with an emphasis on harm reduction, promoting choice and making positive connections.
What support does this service provide?
We offer flexible, open ended and intensive support lead by the client, focused on achieving the goals that are important to them. Our transferable support moves with the person. We provide help with all aspects of managing accommodation: paying bills, accessing services, managing money, attending appointments, creating opportunities, developing social skills, participating in activities.
How would people access this service?
Access to the service is via a direct referral to the Housing First team - further enquiries regarding the pathway can be made directly to the team via email.
