Salary: £23,350 per annum + On-call allowance

Hours: 35 per week with some evening, weekend and On-Call working

Paxton Street – Rapid Rehousing Service

Paxton Street is a busy 24-hour service that provides rapid rehousing support and accommodation to 13 clients.  Our aim is to support individuals to find a home that suits their needs. Check out our twitter feed for the latest videos about our services.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day operation providing accommodation and support.  This includes leading a team of support staff, managing a rota, monitoring client support and overseeing housing management responsibilities such as rents, occupancy, maintenance and health & safety.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate operational expertise in running a busy client focussed service as well as the knowledge, skills and abilities set out in the person specification. This can be gained from working in private, commercial, public or third sectors.  It is essential you have a genuine interest and passion for the work Goleudy does, our approaches, and putting our clients first.

A word from one of our Operations Manager:

Hi, my name is Mark and I'm an Operations Manager for Goleudy. I have spent most of my career working in the retail sector for various companies and most recently as a General Manager for a large department store. Over the course of the summer, I was lucky enough to have an opportunity to step back and assess what I wanted in the next stage of my career.

Goleudy were advertising for an Operations Manager, based in my home-town of Swansea and I thought, 'I could do this'. With the transferable skills that I have acquired through my people-management and customer service experience, I thought that this was a great opportunity to really make a difference to people's lives, and Goleudy's ethos of preventing homelessness and providing housing and opportunities for our clients, really struck a chord with me.

I am now in my fourth month with Goleudy, and I am really enjoying being part of a fast-paced, dynamic team who are all striving to make a positive difference to our client's lives’.
